I'm not a big brain on this but it seems like the kind of thing that depends on how well it's executed. If it's done because you're chickening out on your story then the audience is going to be left disatisfied. If you portray your characters eloquently and drop clues as to your final outcome then they can be left talking about it for hours afterwards.

If your looking for input youll have to give us more on the actual plot, man.

Personally, I think the idea of not knowing who shot who is the best way to kill a movie- it just seems you wanted to make the audience 'think', but didnt have a good idea to use.

Why don't you shoot multiple endings. Test them with some friends and put the others on dvd. Everyone loves multiple endings.

The plot is pretty much a psychological thriller where the serial killer is a super smart guy who is killing a bunch of people( i have to think of a way to connect them) ant the investigator has to figure it out, but also the killer writes letters leaving clues to when his next killing will be and how it will be done. (A sample of his intelligence... he sanded down his shoe soles so as not to leave a clue to his shoe brand). I also stole quite a bit of the idea from the Zodiac killer which i thinnk personally is a very intersting case.

So with the Crown of Thorns thing - did you mean how can you make the prop?

Or did you mean - how does the super-smart psycho get the victim to don said head warmer prior to the d?nouement (slaying)?

P.S. I realise the Crown of Thorns may not be considered a head warmer where you live?

Either:
1. Making the Crown or
2. Adding the wounds to the head.

I was just kinda curious if anyone might know how.

And thanks anyways for the crown of thorns on ebay, but I'm on a very low budget. (Just about 0$)

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I bet Mel Gibson can afford $7 for a crown of thorns. There's no justice in this world.
